Internet connection
Expedy Cloud printers are industrial IOT (Internet of Things) connected objects that operate via the Internet. It is therefore essential to connect these devices to a quality internet access to maintain uninterrupted remote printing service .
Check that the router is not configured for whitelisting.
The Internet router or box must accept incoming and outgoingconnections on ports (TCP/UDP) 1883.
At WiFi the printer connects only on the 2.4Ghz frequency.
The 5Ghz WiFi network is not supported.
Conventional Wifi and ADSL networks are not guaranteed networks, which is why in certain types of business such as catering, security, eCommerce logistics, which require guaranteed and immediate ticket printing deliverability, we recommend using a 4G cloud printer that provides a GPRS backup Internet connection with a M2M SIM card.
Other devices, such as alarms, video surveillance and credit card payment terminals, also require GPRS connections to guarantee their full range of services.
Using the GPRS internet connection, the printer will be on a dedicated network, without interference from other devices or interruptions from the internet provider.
